If I host a 1.vii.2 server any whatever other calculator i tin log into. information technology is just the 1 estimator that is having the problem. I'm really lost as to what is stopping it from being able to reach the authentication servers...

ive noticed over the last month or and then that the game(client) keeps requiring admission to new authentication server ip's(and ports), so i started keeping track of them.
184.73.255.200:443
184.73.179.96:lxxx
then but yesterday after 1.7.2, a new 1
184.73.237.83:443
i added these as 'let' exceptions for my network traffic and it now authenticates just fine

Take a look at Survivzor's mail service.
Also, please annotation that the server you're trying to connect to must be on one.7.2...

I have tried on two different servers and one works correctly, the other does non. Neither has a firewall blocking outbound communications, and both are able to connect to sessionserver.mojang.com over SSL (I tried loading up https://sessionserver.mojang.com/, and I become the aforementioned response, telling me about the server.)
EDIT: Likewise, both servers take no bug with 1.6, I can connect to both perfectly fine.

I didnt need to add exceptions. My servers date and time were in 2005 for some reason. All IE server certificates werent valid yet. Updated date/time and its working.

The fourth dimension and date is right on the server that isn't working. Do one.6 and i.vii both use SSL to talk to Yggdrasil (sessionserver.mojang.com)?

I'm not going to turn online-mode off. Information technology'south far too dangerous.

I never got an answer as to whether SSL was used in Minecraft 1.6's advice with Yggdrasil. It seems as if my Java's SSL doesn't work properly, and I haven't found a way to ready it yet.

I finally figured out how to fix my isssue. It was that I couldn't do SSL. The Ubuntu openjdk packages are missing the keystore of trusted certificates, and the package ca-certificates-java doesn't assistance.
I copied the $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security/cacerts file from my laptop (Windows) and dropped it at /etc/ssl/certificates/java/cacerts, and magically things work. I was pretty happy.
